Fresh bananas are the most popular fresh fruit in the U.S. They are known to be over 99% fat free, contain no sodium and are high in potassium and vitamin C. Applications include: muffins, cakes, fruit beverages, yogurt, ice cream and baby food.

The Borja ("Bor ha") family has been in the banana business for over fifty years. In 1985, Industrias Borja constructed a banana puree processing facility on their Victoria Plantation which is conveniently located near the seaport, Puerto ABolivar.
